Moon beam on the Sea

Moon beam on the Sea, as light as I can be
With some borrowed soothing light of the moon,
I sparkle for a few moments as I dance on the ever changing surface of the sea.

The waters beneath me are dark and so is the sky above, albeit a daintily lit Moon, casting a spell upon all that is asleep and alive.

Moonbeam on the sea, I travel as far as the light let's me,
The night is chilly and composed, hardly any breeze but why do I feel the winds of change stroking the waters with their sweet lullaby... they say sleep my sweet child, the world is vast and fathomless, take rest, for you have a journey, however insignificant, to cross the bridges across of the Universe.

A sliver of silver nothingness on the dark matter of the sea, I drift and cast my light on whatever that crosses my path,
As if a greeting to my fellow travelers, who as clueless as me, of the vast scheme of the playful gods, with us as the toys of their play time.

Moonbeam on the Sea, I doze off to the sound of the waves, like a baby rest assured of it's mother's warm embrace. With no set destination and no maps, I stay true to my nature and just move with the waves.

When the cool night completes it's shift and the rising sun will rise to it's duty, the sweet moonbeam on the sea will disappear, replaced by the glimmering golden sparkle on the just now dark waters... What a promising hue they bear!  Am l the sunlit glimmer on the waves now? ...continuing my journey in another form till the day is put to sleep by the setting sun.
