Two of me

If I could, i would clone myself.

If I could i would time travel

If I could i would visit past me and tell her ...

that she is doing great, that she is the toughest she has been and will be, for the things she is facing are new and unique to her experience, at that particular time.

That she will come out of it all and wonder how she did it and how she endured...it's the toughest she has been or will be.

If I could i would clone myself, a second me born with all the experiences of the past so that the two me can empathise and truly be there for one another.

The two of me will keep each other company and make each other feel safe and at home. The two of me will hold each other when the world seems hostile and there is no friend or companion who would hold out their hand for me. The two me will over come the feelings of abandonment and be a witness to each other ...

The two me, however insignificant, just passengers into the oblivion, will give each other refuge and for a brief moment in this vast journey of the cosmos, we will take comfort in the knowing that no matter what, at least we had each other for company.

The two me will help each other through life experiences and will not judge each other, at the least we will hold each other when things get overwhelming or too difficult to understand.

The two me will also learn new and different skills, one will learn how to swim, the other how to paint, one will sing the other dance, one will speak and the other listen, one will write and the other edit mercilessly, one will pose for a picture and the other make sure to capture a smiling face along with the setting sun in the distance...

The two of me will make the loneliness a little bit tolerable, the two of me will keep each other sane and keep each other's secrets and help each other recover from heart aches and body pains. 

If I could i would want two of me... In this vast and unfamiliar world,a refuge of love and comfort it would be.
